Sosialisasi Palapa Ring Paket Timur

Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika (Menkominfo) Rudiantara melakukan sosialisasi Proyek Palapa Ring Paket Timur di Jayapura, Papua (23/02/2017) dan Manokwari, Papua Barat (24/02/2017). Acara Sosialisasi ini dihadiri oleh seluruh Pemerintah Daerah dan jajaran baik dari Provinsi Papua serta Papua Barat.

Dalam kesempatan ini Menkominfo Rudiantara menyampaikan rencana pelaksanaan Proyek, serta menegaskan peran Pemerintah daerah dalam proyek Palapa Ring. Proyek Palapa Ring dapat diimplementasikan apabila ada bantuan dari para Bupati, Kepala Dinas Kominfo serta pihak-pihak atau Dinas-Dinas lainnya yang terkait, yang memiliki ijin untuk melakukan pembangunan.

Menkominfo Rudiantara menyampaikan proyek Palapa Ring Paket Timur ditargetkan selesai pada tahun 2019. Dengan terselesaikannya Proyek Palapa Ring ini, sebanyak 514 kabupaten pada tahun 2019 sudah harus terhubung dengan akses internet berkecepatan tinggi.
