Moratelindo is a wholesale telecom infrastructure provider established in 2000. We went global by opening an office in Singapore in conjunction with the construction of submarine cable MIC-1 (Moratelindo International Cable-system One) connecting Jakarta-Singapore. In 2010, the Government of Singapore granted a Facilities-Based Operations (FBO) license to Moratel International Pte. Ltd., as a network gateway for international leased line services. In Singapore, Moratelindo also built fiber optic networks and implemented DWDM (Dense Wavelength-division Multiplexing) to instill greater backbone network capacity.

The Indonesian government has relied on Moratelindo to support local national infrastructure with essential permits; JARTUP (Closed Fixed Network), NAP (Network Access Point), ISP (Internet Service Provider), and JARTAPLOK (Local Fixed Network), as well as to build and operate national data centers; Nusantara Internet Exchange (NIX).

In 2012, Moratelindo completed construction of major international submarine backbone of Jakarta, Bangka, Bintan, Batam, and Singapore (B3JS). Earlier, a similar network (about 400 kilometers) has also been constructed connecting Batam-Dumai-Melaka (BDM). This network is the result of collaboration between Moratelindo, XL Axiata and Telekom Malaysia.

Our national backbone network is also outstretched from Sumatera to Java and Bali. With the increasing numbers of customer needs, the network must be supported by a reliable data security. To comply these, Moratelindo built 11 Nusantara Data Center (NDC) in Medan, Batam, Palembang, Jakarta, Surabaya, Bali, Lampung, Serang, Bandung, Semarang, and Yogyakarta. All our NDC's are connected with local (IIX-APJII and Open IXP) and international networks (Equinix and Global Switch in Singapore).
